This seems to be an excellent product. It has most of the controls I could wish for, and operates smoothly and very very quietly, maintaining the humidity where I want it.I have had this dehumidifier for several weeks now. There has been a lot of rain, so outdoor humidity has been high. I use the dehumidifier in storage shed, that is enclosed. Much of the time I have used it, the temperature outdoors and in the shed has been fairly low, going down to near the lower limit of 5° C that the unit is rated for. The unit will tell you the current temperature (in °C) if hold down the humidity set button for several seconds. These are hard conditions for a dehumidifier, since they work by cooling the air to condense moisture, and if you cool 10° C air much, you the water will condense and freeze. I have seen that happen, with frost on the cooling grid. The unit is advertised to have a defrost mode, and although I don't know exactly what it does, that seems to work, and the ice melts and drains off and the unit continues operating. The rating of this product follows an outdated standard that rated how much water it could remove at high temperature and humidity. At lower temperatures (and lower humidity) it will remove water at much less than this rate, and the rating standard has been changed so consumers better know what to expect. It would be better if this unit advertised itself on that standard. However, the big deal is that it DOES remove the water. It may take a while to bring down the humidity in a cool, damp place where water is absorbed into everything porous, but it keeps at it, and brings it down.I was unsure whether this unit would use its full rated power all of the time that it is on. If it did, I would see it my electric bill. I was pleased to learn that it does not. You can set a target relative humidity (by steps of 5%); once it gets below that, the unit almost completely turns off, consuming very little power. When the humidity rises, it comes back on.The water reservoir on the unit is very small, so you would have to empty if often if it did not drain through its (included but not attached) drain hose. If you do use the drain hose, you need to route that either to somewhere that carries the water away or to a sizable bucket, in such a way that the hose stays BELOW the level at which it attaches to the unit. Water just drips out, rather than pushing out, and would overflow internally if the hose goes higher than the outlet. If it drains to a bucket, you will need to remember to empty it. On its own reservoir the unit shuts off when full, but it has no way to sense the fullness of your bucket, and would keep going even if the bucket overflowed.I was impressed with how quiet this unit is compared to other dehumidifiers I have used, especially on low fan speed. It would not bother me if it ran in my bedroom when I am sleeping. One thing i did not like is that there is a light by the power switch that comes on when the unit is plugged in, whether it is powered up or not, and the does not change when it is turned on. The digital humidity readout gets brighter when it is turned on, but it would be more intuitive if the power light only came on when it was switched on, or changed color, or something.I have not used the timer functions, but they are not very well explained in the manual. For example, is it just a one shot timer, or does it repeat each 24 hrs? Can you set the timer on and timer off functions, and just what does that do? You are not told. The unit would fit my space better without its wheels, which I do not need. I tried pulling on one, and it did not readily remove, though it might with more inspection and force. The unit is supposed to be kept upright for 24 hrs before use, so I didn't turn it over to try harder, and wished I had before I put it in use.Time will tell about the durability of this unit, but i seems well designed and buil. The company doubles the warranty period if you register the product, and seems likely to be responsive.

This humidifier is small enough to fit where I need it, big enough to fill up with water after 2 days and easily manageable.

Very quiet and compact, much quieter than last one I had. Good keyboard controls and options. Verified max fill shut off, worked as it should.

it does keep the moist level in a basement at the right level. i can serve a large area as well due to the powerful fan. it is quiet also.albeit it has a small container, that i knew but was going to hook it up for a permanent draining. this is not well documented. be aware that this needs a gravity pull or some sort of a sump pump to get it all out and away. if the drain hose is not able to "look downward" the moist will build up in the machine and eventually overflow as the liquid produced is not "heavy enough" to push build up through the hose.

I was very surprised about the quality of this product. It was heavier than expected, so very sturdy, nice-looking piece. I have a 1000 sq ft apartment that has way too much humidity in it. As soon as I plugged this in and let it go, it only took an hour to get about an inch of water in it. Overnight it will fill almost to the top. I am very happy about this product!

The Sahauhy dehumidifier does exactly what the big boys do just in a smaller space. I hate humidity! I have a basement listening room and had been relying on a couple full size dehumidifiers to dry out our large basement. Because the A/C ductwork runs above the listening room drop ceiling it tends to keep things damp above the ceiling tiles making the room more humid than I would prefer. The Sahauhy enables me to keep the 18’ X 14’ room at a constant 55% humidity level. It is so much more comfortable in there! This dehumidifier is the perfect size for the room. It runs very quietly. The onboard water reservoir needs to be emptied twice per day. YMMV depending upon the climate in which you live and certainly the time of year. The Sahauhy has all of the settings as the large dehumidifiers. Highly recommended!UPDATE: It is mid June 2022 and this dehumidifier continues to work like a champ. It does its' job with no negative issues!

I live in GA, so it’s plenty humid around. I added this to help the stuff in my garage stay dry and not get moldy. The drain hose is great too! I added an extender I got from work and it’s perfect! The display is awesome too, keeps me informed on how my stuff is surviving.

This dehumidifier is amazing. It is extremely quiet while running and really does work great. It comes with a hose to drain it into a drain but for the 1st couple uses I wanted to see if it really worked so I wanted to see if the container would fill up. I plugged it in that night and next morning it was full. I haven’t stopped using it and it has been working wonderfully. No more humidity in my basement. I would recommend this product to others.
